La Feria de Sevilla brings Spanish culture to Parker Press Park

Spanish and Flamenco dance company Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre will present its famous Spanish fair, La Feria de Sevilla

Spanish and Flamenco dance company Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre will present its famous Spanish fair, La Feria de Sevilla, based on the weeklong festival in Seville, Spain, to celebrate Spanish culture.

As part of the Woodbridge Family Cultural Event Series, this event will be held from 2:30-6 p.m. June 5 at Parker Press Park, 428 Rahway Ave., Woodbridge. Rain date is June 12.

Admission is free.

 

Enjoy an afternoon of colorful costumes; spontaneous dancing throughout the park of the traditional Sevillanas; and main stage Flamenco dance performances by Alborada’s professional company joined by guitarist Juan Pedro Jimenez from Cadiz, Spain.

Learn the art of twirling a Spanish fan, how to play castanets, how to play cajon, and create arts and crafts.

Paella, sangria and traditional Spanish items will be for sale.

Bring a lawn chair.
