Irene J. Dinkel, 94, Cranbury, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at the Elms of Cranbury in Cranbury, NJ.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, Irene graduated from Battin Girls High School, Elizabeth. She moved to New Brunswick in the 50’s and to Cranbury in 1980. Irene ran Munroe Electric with her husband, Chester Dinkel, for 50 years. Irene was deeply devoted to her family and the business.
Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Anna Small; her loving husband of 56 years, Chester Dinkel and her siblings, Margaret, Charles, Freddie, Annie and Richard; she is survived by her loving daughter, Arlene Macallister Harms (Jeree); her grandsons, Scott, Thomas and Jeffrey; and her great-grandchildren, Kylie, Nicholas, Jackie and Kona.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at A.S. Cole Son & Co., 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ.
Interment will follow at Brainerd Cemetery in Cranbury, NJ.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home.
