Entries will be accepted for fair’s Home and Garden competition

It is time for residents to start getting their entries ready for the 2022 Monmouth County Fair Home and Garden Competition.

Fair staff members will accept entries of art, photos, crafts, needlework and canning on July 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on July 25 from 8-11 a.m., according to a press release.

Entries from senior centers and adult day programs will be accepted on July 25 and July 26 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Flower and vegetable entries should be brought to the fairgrounds on July 29 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Baked goods will be accepted at the fairgrounds on July 30 from 8-11 a.m.

Those entering into the competitions are asked to read all the general rules and judging criteria for their specific entry divisions as there have been adjustments to divisions and classes, according to the press release.

After judging, entries into the Home and Garden Competition can be seen at the 47th annual Monmouth County Fair, which will be held at East Freehold Showgrounds, Kozloski Road, Freehold Township, from July 27-31.

Hours for the fair are 4-11 p.m. July 27-29; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 30; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 31. General admission to the fair is $8 per adult. Children 17 and under are admitted free.
