New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS), a division of New York Blood Center, which provides blood for local patients, is looking for a few good volunteers.

The blood drive volunteer is an integral member of the team whose tasks include assisting donors with registration and/or at the refreshment area. No medical background necessary, according to a press release.

Volunteers should be outgoing to provide friendly customer service, be able to perform tasks as needed and must provide proof of COVID vaccination prior to volunteering. Must have transportation. All training is provided, including additional precautions for the safety of the team and blood donors.

The Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce invites golfers and non-golfers to the 2022 MRCC annual golf outing on June 21 at Knob Hill, Manalapan. The event will begin with registration at noon and a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The awards reception will be held from 6:30-9 p.m.

A portion of the event’s net proceeds will benefit local nonprofit organizations. This year’s recipients will be AUSA Jr. ROTC Scholarship Fund and the Victor Zando Foundation, according to a press release.

All are invited to attend the evening awards reception. A wide range of sponsorships and journal ads are available. Payment and logos for sponsorships and ads should be submitted by June 3 to info@monmouthregionalchamber.com

Registration for the golf outing is $265 per individual golfer or $1,000 for a foursome, which also includes reception tickets. The cost for the awards reception only is $110 per person (early bird special price of $95 until June 3). The last day to register for the golf outing and the reception is June 13.
