A woman who was paid $11,191.61 worth of bitcoin in exchange for “companion services” filed a complaint for theft of services after electronic payment for her services was allegedly reversed April 19, according to the West Windsor Police Department.

The woman arranged to meet the client at the Hyatt Place hotel, and the cryptocurrency was transferred into her bank account in exchange for spending the night with the man, police said.

The next day, the man called her and accused her of stealing some of his property, police said. In response, she blocked his calls.

Soon after she blocked his calls, the cryptocurrency transaction was allegedly reversed, leaving her without payment for the services she provided, police said.
