OLD BRIDGE – Delicious international foods, fun cultural games, colorful flags and clothing from different countries transformed the cafeteria of Jonas Salk Middle School earlier this month.

More than 180 students, several teachers and all school administrators stayed after
school to learn about some of the various cultures represented in the greater Old
Bridge community during a Cultural Festival event on June 3.

Salk’s Kiwanis Builder’s Club organized the event under coordinators Robert Bennetti and Anne Doyle. Several foreign language teachers assisted with the program including Linda Costa, Min Chen and Alyson Hathaway.

Bennetti hopes to make the event an annual event at Salk.
