SOUTH RIVER – The South River Police Department is holding a gift card drive for a family who suffered “a devastating house fire.”

Although the family was uninjured during the fire on Aug. 19, the couple, along with their 20-month-old son, lost everything they own, police said through a social media post on Aug. 20.

Anyone wishing to contribute a gift card, or looking for additional information, contact Ptl. Danielle Stone at 732-254-1150 ext. 136 or Police Dispatcher Adam DeHanes at adehanes@southriverpd.org.

Due to storage space, they are only accepting gift card donations at this time. All gift cards donated will go directly to the family, police said.
