Man charged in alleged break-in at Hopewell Township home following car crash

A 19-year-old Titusville man was charged with burglary and criminal mischief after he allegedly broke into a house on Pleasant Valley-Harbourton Road Aug. 19, according to the Hopewell Township Police Department.

A police officer was dispatched to investigate a car crash on Pleasant Valley-Harbourton Road. When he arrived, there was no one inside the car, police said.

While the officer was investigating the crash, a nearby resident approached him and said a man had allegedly broken into his house. When the officer went to the house, he found a man, later identified as the driver of the car allegedly involved in the crash, police said.

The man was processed and released, police said.
