Municipal officials in Hazlet have imposed new parking regulations on Dallas Court.

During a meeting on Aug. 2, Township Committee members adopted an ordinance that establishes a parking time limit on Dallas Court.

Under the terms of the ordinance, parking is prohibited on both sides of the entire length of Dallas Court from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding public holidays).

Committee members also adopted an ordinance that prohibits vehicles from stopping or standing on Dallas Court.

Dallas Court is north of and intersects with Middle Road (Route 516). Middle Road provides the only access to Dallas Court; no other roads are connected.

There are homes on Dallas Court and the street is near the Monmouth County Vocational Technical High School, 417 Middle Road.

In other business, the committee members voted to authorize a contract with Monmouth Telecom Hosted Solution, Red Bank.

Under the terms of the contract, Monmouth Telecom Hosted Solution will provide dedicated bandwidth, a hosted PBX (private branch exchange) phone system and new telephones for the Hazlet municipal building, the Department of Public Works station, the municipal court and the Hazlet Township Public Library.

Monmouth Telecom Hosted Solution will perform the telephone, fiber line transfer and other required item services for one-time payments of $13,785 and $1,400, according to a resolution, for a total payment of $15,185. The contract is effective for one year.

And, committee members authorized Chief Financial Officer Christopher Clinton to make an $822,987 payment to Lucas Brothers Inc. for the 2022 road improvement program.

In addition, committee members authorized design and construction services for the demolition of the storage garage building adjacent to the James J. Cullen Community Center, Union Avenue, in an amount not to exceed $14,200.

Finally, the committee members appointed Christina Johnson as Hazlet’s Clean Communities coordinator. Johnson will receive a stipend of $3,500, according to a resolution.
