SAYREVILLE – The Sayreville Board of Education finalized a number of purchases/services that will essentially enhance the district.
Water Bottle Filling Stations
On Aug. 23, board members approved the purchase and installation for district-wide water bottle filling stations from two different companies.
The purchase cost of the water bottle filling stations totals $63,688 from Ferguson Enterprises LLC, Newport News, Va., according to district administrators.
The installation cost of the water bottle filling stations totals $220,637 from Magic Touch Construction, Keyport.
The total cost of purchase and installation of the water bottle filling stations will be $284,325.
“This is something that many parents, as well as staff members asked for, especially during the pandemic,” Superintendent of Schools Richard Labbe said. “I think that [the water bottle filling stations] be well-received by all of our staff and students in the district.”
Child Study Team services
The Board appointed the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey to provide child study team services from Sept. 8 through Dec. 23, at an hourly rate of $70, not to exceed $22,050.
Board members also retroactively approved an amendment to costs for child study team services – Feb. 14 to June 28 – from $20,720 to $23,135.
Purchases
The board approved the purchase of 25 Newline 65-inch 4K UHD (ultra-high definition) LED (light-emitting diode) multi-touch displays, and 25 wall mount stands from CDW Government Inc., Vernon Hills Ill. The total cost will be $46,250.
The board approved two purchases of technology services and supplies with state preschool expansion aid funds.
The first purchase included new intermediate distribution frame at the Jesse Selover School. The new intermediate distribution frame was purchased from JCT Solutions, Springfield, in the amount of $45,207.
The second purchase included a new public address system at Selover School. The new public address system was purchased from CM3 Building Solutions, Fort Washington, Pa., in the amount of $82,657.
Selover is one of Sayreville’s three pre-kindergarten locations, along with the Samsel Upper Elementary School (SUES) and the Cheesquake Preschool in Old Bridge.
