South Brunswick police blotter

Police responded to a burglary at 1:50 p.m. Sept. 1 at a residence on Greyhound Court. The resident was home and heard the front doorbell ring but ignored it. Minutes later the resident observed the suspects – three males – allegedly force entry to the rear sliding door and make entry. The suspects saw the resident and fled.

The suspects were described as all wearing surgical masks. One male was wearing all black with a black hoodie, one male was wearing a white T-shirt, and one male was wearing a grey hoodie and grey sweatpants. They trio was observed leaving the area in a grey Honda Accord or Altima. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jamal Benbow at 732-329-4648.

Police Detective Monica Posteraro continues to investigate a case of animal cruelty. On Aug. 17 at 8:45 p.m., a motorist driving on Route 130 near Route 32 close to the New Jersey Turnpike Exit 8A observed a dog tied to a tree with a leash. The dog, a white Pitbull with an orange color, was unneutered and appeared underweight. Investigators are looking for any witnesses that may have seen a vehicle or truck stopped on the side of the road in that area between 5-8:30 p.m. on Aug. 17.
