Albermarle Drive is in a residential community between Stevenson Drive and Vanderburg Road.

Upon their arrival at the home, the responding officers found the victim, Priscilla Badua, 68, and her husband, Felino Badua Jr., 66, both deceased, according to a press release from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

An autopsy conducted by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed the manner of death for the couple were homicide and suicide, respectively, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Marlboro police initially informed the community an incident had occurred at the couple’s residence in a Facebook post on Sept. 6.

Police administrators wrote, “There is an active investigation underway involving both the Marlboro Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. At this time there is no public safety threat to our community. The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office will be sharing all information related to this incident as necessary.”

The prosecutor’s office revealed the findings of the investigation on the afternoon of Sept. 8.
