Montgomery Township police blotter

A 47-year-old Pittsgrove man was apprehended on outstanding warrants from Camden, Collingswood and Monroe after he was involved in a crash on Route 206 Sept. 2. He was processed and released.

Someone allegedly stole a purse from an unlocked car parked on Vreeland Drive Aug. 28.  Police recovered the purse found in a storm drain on Village Drive.

A 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport was allegedly stolen from the driveway of a Durham Road home Aug. 27. The SUV had been left unlocked with the key fob in it. The vehicle last observed in Irvington, police said.

A 61-year-old Hamilton Township woman suffered broken bones and head trauma when she was struck by a car in the parking lot at Princeton Orthopedic Associates on Princeton Avenue Aug. 24. The driver of a 2018 Toyota RAV4 was backing out of a parking space when his car struck the woman. She was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for treatment.

The drivers of two cars suffered minor injuries in a head-on collision on Route 533/River Road Aug. 24. A 29-year-old Somerset man was driving his 2017 Toyota Corolla northbound when he allegedly crossed the double yellow lines and struck a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE head southbound that was driven by a 40-year-old Hillsborough Township man. The 29-year-old man complained of back pain and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The other driver suffered a cut to the arm, but declined treatment.

Someone allegedly tried to break into a Range Rover while it was parked in a driveway on Van Zandt Road Aug. 21. A RING camera showed one person walking up the driveway and pulling on the handle of the Range Rover. The vehicle was locked and the suspect could not get into it. He walked back to a car that was idling at the end of the driveway and left.

A 47-year-old Dayton man was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, reckless driving and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. A police officer observed the driver allegedly weaving on Belle Mead-Griggstown Road Aug. 17. The driver failed field sobriety tests. He was processed and released.

A 63-year-old Belle Mead man was apprehended on an outstanding warrant from Montgomery Township after police responded to a Dominicus Court residence on a complaint Aug. 15. He was processed and taken to the Somerset County Jail on the outstanding warrant.
