Hopewell Police blotter

Someone allegedly broke into a Harbourton Ridge Drive home sometime between Aug. 31 and Sept. 17 and stole an assortment of items valued at about $500.

A man went into the Stop ‘n Shop grocery store on Denow Road and allegedly purchased items with counterfeit money. The incident occurred between Sept. 11-12.

A victim was scammed out of $500 after transferring money from their bank account for an application fee on an apartment rental. The apartment listing, which was advertised online, was determined to be fraudulent. The incident was reported Sept. 12.

Someone allegedly removed a clock, valued at $1,200, from in front a business on E. Broad Street in Hopewell Borough. The theft was reported Sept. 9.

Someone allegedly broke into a business on Route 31 N. overnight between Sept. 5-6 and stole about $350 from the cash register.

A 25-year-old ShopRite grocery store employee who lives in Trenton was charged with theft Sept. 6. He allegedly took items valued at $3,000 from the store during his work shift. He was turned over to the Trenton Police Department on an outstanding warrant after being processed at the Hopewell Township Police Department.
