A 32-year-old Princeton woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after she was stopped by police on University Place for failing to observe a traffic signal March 11. She was processed and released.

A North Harrison Street resident was scammed out of $1,650 from a caller who pretended to be a Comcast Xfinity employee. The victim was told to purchase Target gift cards in the amount of $550 to get a discounted rate. The victim bought several gift cards and provided the card code numbers to the suspect before realizing that he had been scammed. The incident was reported March 10.

A Samsung refrigerator and a Samsung convection double oven were among the items stolen from a unit under construction at the AvalonBay Communities development on Thanet Road. The burglars broke a glass window on the front door to gain entry to the unit sometime between 12:30 p.m. March 7 and 9:40 a.m. March 8.

A Maclean Street resident reported the theft of a pair of sunglasses, valued at $400, from a package that was delivered to her apartment building sometime between 3:56 p.m. and 5:23 p.m. March 7.

Three people used fake $100 bills to buy 20 clothing items from a Nassau Street store, valued at a total of $3,086. The incident was reported March 5.

A 59-year-old Skillman woman was charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-car crash on The Great Road March 3. She was processed and released.

Five people entered a store on Palmer Square West and stole several items while a person in the group distracted the store employee March 1. The items were valued at $500 each.

A man stole two items valued at $690 from a store on Palmer Square West Feb. 28. The man also is believed to have shoplifted the same items on Feb. 21.

A 20-year-old Trenton man who allegedly attempted to cash a fraudulent check for $30,000 was charged with theft by deception, forgery and issuing bad checks Feb. 27. Police were called after he entered a bank on State Road and allegedly tried to cash the check. He was processed and released.
