The driver and passenger fled on foot, but were apprehended by police.

An investigation revealed that they had left the Burlington store without paying for merchandise valued at $969.61, police said. They were also found to have outstanding warrants for their arrest.

One woman posted bail for the outstanding warrant and was released. The other woman was taken to the Mercer County Correction Center on an active warrant.
