Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening head injuries in West Windsor crash

A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening head injuries when he crashed his Harley Davidson motorcycle into the rear of a 2004 Freightliner tractor in the northbound lane of Old Trenton Road at Mercer County Park April 4, according to the West Windsor Police Department.

The motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle after it crossed into the southbound lane on Old Trenton Road and struck a 2019 Toyota Highlander SUV in the crash, which was reported at 7:34 p.m., police said.

The motorcycle, without its rider, veered back into the northbound lane and was struck by a Ford F150 pickup truck, police said. The driver of the pickup truck suffered a non-life threatening back injury.

The motorcyclist and the pickup truck driver were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for treatment, police said.

The West Windsor Division of Fire & Emergency Services, the West Windsor Volunteer Fire Company and its fire police, the Robbinsville Fire Department and Capital Health paramedics responded to the scene.

The Hamilton Township Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team also responded to the scene.
