A 41-year-old East Windsor Township man was charged with driving under the influence, careless driving, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane after his car left the roadway and struck a tree on Abbington Drive April 8. He allegedly showed signs of impairment and was arrested. He was processed and released.

A 27-year-old East Windsor Township man was charged with driving under the influence after police discovered him asleep behind the wheel of his car with the ignition running and an open container of alcohol in the vehicle on Avon Drive April 8. He allegedly showed signs of impairment. He was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was processed and released.

A 29-year-old Freehold resident was charged with shoplifting for allegedly attempting to leave ShopRite without paying for merchandise worth $721.10 April 5. The individual was processed and released.

A 53-year-old Monroe Township woman was charged with shoplifting for allegedly leaving ShopRite without paying for items valued at $251.41 April 2. She was later identified and placed under arrest, pending court action.
