Lawrence Township voters will nominate candidates for an assortment of elected offices in the Democratic and Republican party primaries June 6.
The polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Early voting will take place June 2-4. Ballots may be cast at any of seven early voting sites in Mercer County. The list is available at www.mercercounty.org/government/county-clerk/elections.
Incumbent Lawrence Township Councilman John Ryan and newcomers Patricia Hendricks Farmer and Olympia I’liou Perry, who are Democrats, are running unopposed for their party’s nomination to run for Township Council.
The Republican Party did not field candidates to run for Council.
In the 15th Legislative District, incumbent state Sen. Shirley Turner is running unopposed for the Democratic Party nomination. Roger R. Locandro is unopposed for the Republican Party nomination.
Incumbent Assembly members Verlina Reynolds-Jackson and Anthony Verrelli, who are Democrats, are unopposed for their party’s nomination for two Assembly seats.
The Republican Party is fielding Michael F. Hurtado for the nomination for Assembly. No one filed to run for the second Assembly seat.
Voters also will nominate candidates for Mercer County Executive, the Mercer County Board of County Commissioners and Mercer County Sheriff.
For Mercer County Executive, Dan Benson is running unopposed for the Democratic Party nomination and Lisa Marie Richford is unopposed for the Republican Party nomination.
Incumbent Mercer County Commissioners John Cimino and Lucylle R.S. Walter are unopposed for the Democratic Party nomination. Joseph A. Stillwell and Denise “Neicy” Turner are unopposed for the Republican Party nomination.
Incumbent Mercer County Sheriff John “Jack” Kemler is unopposed for the Democratic Party nomination and Bryan “Bucky” Boccanfuso is unopposed for the Republican Party nomination.
