Someone broke into a vehicle while it was parked at a public park on Alexander Street and stole an assortment of items valued at $2,145.99. Fraudulent purchases were attempted at a store in another town. The incident was reported May 28.

A 33-year-old Princeton man was charged with shoplifting for allegedly taking $115.96 worth of merchandise from a store on North Harrison Street May 27. He was processed and released.

A 39-year-old Florida man was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly approached a passing vehicle on Maple Street May 26. The man allegedly yelled at the victims, who observed that he had a knife in his possession.

A woman reported the theft of her backpack and wallet after a thief smashed the window on her vehicle while it was parked at a public park on Alexander Street. The incident was reported May 25.

A thief broke into a vehicle parked on Mountain Avenue and stole the victim’s debit/credit card and cash. Several unsuccessful attempts were made to use the card at a store in another town. The incident was reported May 22.

A Pretty Brook Road resident reported that their vehicle was broken into and credit cards and cash were taken. The thief tried unsuccessfully to use the credit cards. The incident was reported May 15.
