Lawrence Township voters chose one incumbent Council member and two newcomers to run for the Township Council on the Democratic Party ticket in the Nov. 7 general election.

Incumbent Township Councilman John Ryan received 1,614 votes in the June 6 Democratic Party primary. Newcomers Patricia Hendricks Farmer received 1,644 votes and Olympia I’liou Perry earned 1,612 votes.

The results are unofficial, according to the Mercer County Clerk’s Office.

Ryan is seeking his second, four-year term on the Township Council. Farmer is serving on the Lawrence Township Public Schools Board of Education. She is completing a three-year term on the school board.

The Republican Party did not field candidates for the Council, which means Ryan, Farmer and Perry are running unopposed for election to the governing body in the November general election.
