Lawrence Township school board to appoint new superintendent of schools

Robyn Klim, the Lawrence Township Public Schools assistant superintendent for student services, is expected to become the next superintendent of schools when the Lawrence Township school board meets June 28.

Klim is expected to succeed Superintendent of Schools Ross Kasun, who is retiring Sept. 1. Klim will assume her new duties Sept. 2. She has worked for the school district since January.

The school board conducted its own search for a successor and advertised the vacancy in professional organizations, such as the New Jersey School Boards Association.

Education is a second career for Klim. She worked in the mental health field as a licensed clinical social worker, and continues to maintain her clinical licensure.

She has worked as a member of the child study team in the public schools. She was the supervisor of Child Study Teams and Related Services in the Pemberton Township Schools.

Klim also worked as the director of Pupil Personnel Services in the Shamong Township School District. She was the director of Educational Services in the Freehold Township School District before coming to the Lawrence Township Public Schools.
