Pennington incumbents return for mayor and council seats

Incumbent Democratic Mayor James Davy has earned a four-year term to continue as Pennington’s mayor.

Incumbent Democrats, Council President Catherine Chandler and Councilman John Valenza also return to their Council seats with each securing a three-year term.

Valenza earns his first full three-year term after being appointed to fill former Councilman Ken Gross’ unexpired term.

Davy, Chandler and Valenza ran unopposed as each of their races did not have a Republican challenger.

In the general election, Davy received 616 votes, Chandler earned 616 votes, and Valenza secured 598 votes, according to unofficial results reported by the Mercer County Clerk’s Office as of Nov. 8.
