A West Orange woman was charged with shoplifting for allegedly attempting to leave Target without paying for items that she had placed in a reusable shopping bag in her shopping cart Oct. 16. She allegedly walked past an aisle of register lanes that were closed and tried to leave the store without paying. She was processed and released.
A Hamilton Township man was charged with driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Washington Road home for an unwanted person at 2:58 a.m. Oct. 11. The investigation determined that the man had allegedly driven to the home while he was under the influence of alcohol. He was processed and released.
A Ewing Township woman was charged with shoplifting for allegedly failing to pay for $123.77 worth of merchandise at Target Oct. 8. She allegedly scanned most of the items in her shopping cart but not other items at the self-checkout lane. She was processed and released.
A Plainsboro Township woman was charged with shoplifting for allegedly taking barcode price stickers from lower priced items and placing them on higher priced items at Target Oct. 7. She went to the self-checkout register and allegedly paid $7.99 for $81.99 worth of merchandise. She was processed and released.
An Asbury Park woman was charged with shoplifting and obstruction of the administration of law Oct. 5 after she was stopped by police at the Ulta Beauty store. Store employees recognized her from an earlier incident that occurred Feb. 13, in which she allegedly stole $3,339 worth of merchandise. She allegedly refused to identify herself in the Oct. 5 incident and was charged with both offenses. She was processed and released.
