Continuing one of its longest running annual traditions, the Rotary Club of Hillsborough distributed free thesauruses to Hillsborough and Manville third graders this month, helping to ensure that the young students will have easy access to a tool that will serve them well throughout their academic careers.
“The third graders and their teachers were genuinely excited and grateful to receive the thesauruses,” said Ben Rozenblat, who organized the project for the Rotary Club. “Rotarians across the country also participate in this important project, helping third graders to access and appreciate the rich vocabulary of the English language.”
This is one way the Rotary Club of Hillsborough gives back. And especially during the holiday season, general personal donations to local organizations continue.
“…Giving back to the community is our year-long mission,” said Mayor Shawn Lipani, who is also the president of the Rotary Club of Hillsborough.
The Rotary Club of Hillsborough has been serving the Hillsborough community for over 60 years through monetary contributions, as well as through hands-on service projects.
“Thanks to generous community support at our fundraisers, including our annual Rotary Fair,” Lipani added, “we have been able to raise funds for a wide variety of local, national and international service projects, as well as provide direct relief to local families facing a medical crisis, natural disaster or other tragic event.”
