Frank Andrew Czepiel, 95, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Serenity Hospice Unit of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
Born in Florence, NJ, October 1, 1929, he resided in Bordentown, Hamilton, Florence and most recently in Lawrenceville. Mr. Czepiel was an Army Veteran of the Korean War where he achieved the rank of Corporal. Frank was a member of United Steel Workers Local 3355 and American Legion Post #458. He retired from DeLaval as a Turbine Tester after many years of service with the company. Mr. Czepiel was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, photography, working on cars, traveling and taking care of his vegetable garden.
Predeceased by his parents, Kazimierz (Casimir) and Pauline (Szumisz) Czepiel; his two brothers, Henry and John Czepiel of Florence; and his sister, Stella(Czepiel) Smiezek of Bordentown; he is survived by his former spouse Joan (Koerz) Czepiel; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane Ritter and her husband, David, and Barbara Smith and her husband, William; his six grandchildren and their spouses, William Smith Jr., Dan and Jennifer Smith, Stephanie (Smith) and Karl Snyder, Sarah (Ritter) and Jacob Austerman, Amanda (Ritter) and Paul Dodson and John Ritter; former sister-in-law and husband Elizabeth (Koerz) and Joseph Kawecki, thirteen great-grandchildren; Connor, Daniel, McKenzie, Teagan, Liam, Natalie, Luke, Evelyn, Aaron, Oliver, Zephyr, Henry and Erick; and several nieces and nephews; as well as several great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, from 8:30am until 9:30am at the Saul Colonial Home.
Funeral services will begin Friday, February 28, 2025, at 9:30am, at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:00am at Saint Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, 872 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638.
Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Burlington, NJ.
