Joseph Brian Lord, Sr., 63, of Hamilton, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Born in Trenton, Joseph was raised in Robbinsville, NJ and was a graduate of Steinert High School and Mercer County Vocational School, Class of 1980. Joseph was a Gas and Diesel Specialist by trade and the proud co-owner of Hamilton Automotive, a successful automotive repair shop he built alongside his best friend and business partner, Brian Dempster. Through his work, he created many lasting memories and was a trusted mechanic in the community.
Joseph’s family and friends were the most important part of his life. Known for his quick wit and playful spirit, he was a true jokester who embraced the light-hearted side of life, bringing laughter and joy to everyone around him. He was the best uncle, father, brother, and friend we could have asked for. He had a deep passion for automotive racing, a sport he not only loved but also found great success in. Joseph was also a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan and never missed a chance to cheer them on. Outside of racing and football, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the thrill of riding motorcycles. He had a special love for dogs, especially his beloved Diesel.
Joseph was predeceased by his father, James W. Lord, Sr.; his mother, Irene (Sarrio) Lord; and his brother, James W. Lord, Jr. His memory will be cherished by his loving children, his daughter, Samantha Lord, and her husband, Timmothy Eisenhauer; his son, Joseph B. Lord, Jr.; and his son, Robert Lord, and his wife, Jennifer; he was a proud grandfather to his granddaughter, Lauren Rivera. He is survived by his brother, Michael Lord, and his wife, Kathy; his sisters, Linda Lord, Cindy McCabe, and her husband, William, and Tonia Lecato; as well as several nieces and nephews. Joseph is also survived by Deborah Lord, with whom he shared many cherished years and a family; and his dear friend, Denise Brodel.
“Weep if you must, parting is hell. But life goes on. So sing as well.”
