Man faces multiple charges in hit-and-run crashes

A 41-year-old Pennsylvania man who was involved in two hit-and-run crashes is facing multiple charges, including leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident, according to the Montgomery Township Police Department.

The man was also charged with failure to maintain lane, failure to exhibit an insurance card, having an unregistered vehicle, careless driving, reckless driving and improper passing.

The man’s vehicle struck a vehicle while attempting to pass it on Route 601 in the area of Route 518 and then struck another vehicle on Route 601 while fleeing from the initial crash on May 9, police said.

Police officers found the vehicle on Route 601 and stopped it on Trent Avenue. During the investigation, it was determined that the man was wanted on an active warrant from Brick Township Municipal Court.

The man was arrested and taken to Montgomery Township Police Department headquarters for processing.
