Bordy may be Bordentown Township Police Department’s eagle mascot, but now he’s the township’s brand-new website chatbot.

If you have clicked on the Bordentown Township website, you may have seen a prompt by Bordy.

“Hi! I’m Bordy! Welcome to the Township of Bordentown chatbot! I answer questions using information from the website. How can I help?”

Need to check trash pickup days? Ask Bordy. Wondering about construction permits, dog licenses, committee meetings, or when the next town event is? Bordy’s got you covered, according to a post on the Bordentown Township’s Facebook site.

In 2023, Bordy was introduced to the community in a video which the Bordentown Township Police Department collaborated on with the Trenton Thunder and Riverview Studios. The department also sought input from the public on what they should name their newest officer.

The mascot is the first police department mascot in the state. Bordy has been a fixture at community policing events waving and high fiving everyone he meets.
