Monarch Communities proudly joined the global movement to raise awareness and take action against Alzheimer’s disease by wearing purple in recognition of The Longest Day, an initiative led by the Alzheimer’s Association.

Across its portfolio, residents and team members came together in a bold display of unity, donning purple attire to honor those impacted by Alzheimer’s and all other forms of dementia. This annual awareness event, held in June on or around the summer solstice, is a reminder of the strength and resilience of individuals facing cognitive decline—and the collective power of communities that care.

“We were honored to stand in solidarity with the millions of individuals and families navigating the challenges of dementia,” said Stephanie Gaber, Life Enrichment Director at Monarch Communities. “Wearing purple is more than a color choice—it’s a symbol of hope, compassion, and our ongoing commitment to brain health.”

Photos of the event captured vibrant moments of connection and purpose across its communities, highlighting the spirit of togetherness and advocacy that defines Monarch’s approach to care.

Monarch Communities remains committed to supporting Alzheimer’s awareness efforts year-round—and encourages everyone to take part in this vital cause.
