Two township men have been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct following a disturbance at the Exit 8 Lounge on Abbington Drive, according to the East Windsor Police Department.
A police officer was sent to the Exit 8 Lounge at 1:54 a.m. June 20 in response to complaints about two people who were disturbing other patrons and who were also breaking bottles and flower planters outside of the business, police said.
The two men, both 28 years old, were placed under arrest but resisted the officer’s control. Additional police officers responded to help get the men under control. A police officer suffered a minor injury to her wrist, which led to the charge of aggravated assault on a police officer.
The men were processed and released.
