Andrew, a young college student, was overwhelmed and scared when he reached out to Dr. Iacobello. He’d fallen into a depression brought on by a recent traumatic loss in his life while facing the social isolation of the COVID pandemic. Andrew started having panic attacks, fleeting suicidal thoughts and feelings of hopelessness.
What makes this case presentation unique is that Dr. Iacobello never met Andrew in person and has seen him only via tele-health. Dr. Iacobello will discuss how he was able to engage this young man during treatment and help him have a new perspective on his life.
