The Brook Orchestra under the helm of Conductor and Music Director Thomas Vacca caps off the orchestra’s historic 2021-2022 concert season by highlighting the powerful Fifth Symphony of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Composed in a few short months in 1888, the work exploded in popularity during the Second World War and has since remained an audience favorite.

Also on the program are Johann Strauss, Jr.’s charming overture Die Fledermaus, and George Bizet’s Carmen Suite No. 1.

The Brook Orchestra has been in residence at the Brook Theater since 2016 with Thomas taking over the Music Director position in September 2019. Since his arrival, the size of the orchestra has doubled to almost seventy members, quickly becoming a highly regarded regional orchestra – bringing beloved staples of the symphonic repertoire to the historic Brook Arts Center.

The concert is scheduled for Friday, June 17 at 8 P.M. located at the Brook Arts Center (10 Hamilton Street Bound Brook NJ). NJ. Ticket information is available at (732) 469-7700 or at brookarts.org
