The New Jersey State Button Society invites those curious about clothing buttons to its spring show and competition on Saturday May 11, 2019 from 9 to 4 p.m. at the Union Fire Hall 1396 River Road, Titusville N.J. This year’s theme is “Celluloid: Pioneering Plastic.”
Dealers from all over the East Coast display vintage, antique, and modern buttons, organized by the subject pictured – or by the material with which the button is made. Members compete with trays of buttons showing, for instance, horses or flowers or buttons made from any of four dozen materials, ranging from enamel to Bakelite. Admission is $2 for adults.
