(RED BANK, NJ)  Corvisiero Literary Agency presents its third annual Authorpreneur Workshop – By The River on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank, New Jersey. There will be a full day of classes that will inform participants on everything they need to learn regarding editing a manuscript, pitching to agents and editors, demystifying publishing deals and developing the successful author mindset. The event will conclude with a networking mixer in the Pearl Lounge. Registration is $220. Pitching session with agents and editors, query critiques, first ten page evaluations with an editor and coaching sessions will also be available for an additional fee.  Refreshments and a deli-style lunch are included.
“I love teaching writers how to get published,” said Marisa A. Corvisiero, senior literary agent and founder of Corvisiero Literary Agency, “and so many talented authors need direction to progress their careers. So I created an informative and accessible workshop designed to take the mystery out of publishing a manuscript. And everyone is welcome, no matter what genre or level of career. After all, writing is a business and everyone has the ability to become an authorpreneur. All it takes is the right training with the right tools.”
Classes offered during the Authorpreneur workshop include Pitching Agents, I’ve Written a Book…What’s Next?, Finding, Pitching and Hooking the Right Literary Agent, The Power of Positioning, Embracing the #WriteMindset, Critical Mass: Agent and Editor First Page Critique Panel, Building an Author Platform and Brand, and Marketing Books, Demystifying Publishing Deals and Successful Author Mindset.
Also offered throughout the day are pitch appointments, query and synopsis critiques and first ten-page evaluation with an editor and coaching sessions with Ms. Corvisiero. Reservations for these sessions can be made when registering for the workshop. An additional fee is charged for each and are available on a first-come, first served basis. A second block of classes with smaller groups offers Plotting Towards Success, Key Steps to Developing Relatable Characters and Self Publish Like A Pro.

More faculty may be added and the list may change.
At the conclusion of the Authorpreneur workshop, special guest Kevin Garrison, founder of Blessing Bag Brigade, will discuss living with gratitude and giving back. The BBB has collected thousands of toiletries, first aid, socks and snack donations for distribution to the homeless. Those who attend the workshop are invited to bring travel-sized toiletries, socks and snacks to aid in this cause.
Immediately following the workshop, participants are invited to join speakers, agents, editors and staff at the Pearl Lounge for drinks and mingling. Cash bar is available.
