Celebrate the opening reception of “Drag is Not a Crime” at Stockton University Kramer Hall in Hammonton on Thursday, June 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Zach Runfolo will be performing during the reception.
In this art exhibit, “Drag is Not a Crime,” challenges societal norms and celebrates the vibrant world of drag as a form of self-expression and empowerment. Through a collection of visual artworks, fashion designs, photography, and performance pieces, the exhibit seeks to dismantle stereotypes and prejudice surrounding drag culture. It explores the history and resilience of drag artists who use their craft to break free from societal constraints. The exhibition invites viewers to question preconceived notions about gender, identity, and beauty, fostering a space where diversity is accepted and celebrated. With a blend of bold colors and powerful narratives, “Drag is Not a Crime” transcends the confines of traditional art spaces, inviting everyone to join in the celebration of authenticity and the freedom to be unapologetically oneself.
