Erin French, chef/author/restaurant owner of The Lost Kitchen in Freedom, Maine.
Erin French will be discussing her new memoir, Finding Freedom, with Professor Doris Friedensohn.  The memoir tells of Erin’s multiple life challenges and how she slowly rebuilt her personal and culinary life around the solace she found in food – as a source of comfort, a sense of place, as a way of bringing goodness into the world.  Professor Friedensohn is a professor emerita of women’s studies at New Jersey City University and author of her own food-related memoir, “Eating As I Go: Scenes from American and Abroad.”  Doris’s interest in food is as a yardstick of consciousness, a reflection of the tension between identities that we are born with and that we construct.  Digital tickets start at $60 each and include a copy of Finding Freedom. Proceeds support the Princeton Public Library.  Tickets are available at princetonlibrary.org.
