GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Gordon Thomas Ward brings his unique song stylings to the Old Stone Church on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 7:30 p.m., opening the new season at the Old Stone CoffeeHouse in Baptistown, New Jersey.

No Depression Magazinecalls Gordon, “One of the best singer-songwriters working in the Americana/indie scene today.” He utilizes a variety of instruments in his shows, which result in a varied spectrum of tonal colors. His songsare influenced by the singer-songwriters of the late 1960s through the 1970s, yet Gordon’s songs occupy a space all their own and fit into the contemporary folk rock, adult alternative, and Americana genres. He has worked with notable musicians such as Eric Troyer and Mik Kaminski of the Electric Light Orchestra and shared the stage with Natalie Merchant and Christine Lavin.
Old Stone CoffeeHouse concerts are held in a 200-year-old fieldstone church, home to the First Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hunterdon County (FUUFHC). It is located at the crossroads of Route 519 and Oak Summit Road, only a few miles from Frenchtown and the Delaware River.
Partial proceeds from Old Stone CoffeeHouse concerts benefit FUUFHC social justice partners: the Delaware Riverkeeper (www.delawareriverkeeper.org) which works to protect Delaware River Watershed waterways, NORWESCAP (www.norwescap.org), which feeds thousands each year and assists area low-income clients with employment building, nutrition, and child and family development, Family Promise (www.familypromise.org), which helps homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence; and the UU Faith Action New Jersey (www.uulmnj.org), which promotes social justice through legislative and public education activity.
