Visit the restored historic gravestones at Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Site and meet the stone mason who this spring carried out their restoration. The mason will demonstrate equipment and procedures used in carving and restoring gravestones and discuss the history of the burial plot at Old Dutch Parsonage.
At 1:30pm join a brief Memorial Day ceremony remembering the veteran of the Revolutionary War interred in Old Dutch Parsonage’s burial plot and all who since the independence of the United States have died in the service of the nation.
Restoration of Old Dutch Parsonage’s historic gravestones was made possible by a gift of the New Jersey Society of the Sons of the Revolution to the Wallace House and Old Dutch Parsonage Association.
