Most Americans across party lines recognize climate change is happening, but many do not understand how it will impact them directly and why there is urgency to address it. Hopewell Public Library presents the C-Change Conversations Primer, a different kind of talk about climate change. The Primer focuses on facts from trusted sources. On actual and perceived risks. On human issues, not political ones.
Kathleen Biggins and C-Change Conversations, a Princeton-based nonprofit organization, developed the Primer in consultation with independent climate scientists and public policy specialists. The Primer has been endorsed by moderate and conservative business, political, and social leaders and enthusiastically received by audiences of more than 7,500 people in 28 states. The all-volunteer organization is comprised of business, legal, and media professionals, including Sophie Glovier, who will present the Primer. Sophie works with local government, early-stage companies through Social Venture Circle, and nonprofits, and is a graduate of Princeton University and Columbia Business School.
