GREAT LIEDER AND SONG CYCLES PERFORMED BY MEZZO-SOPRANO CHERI ROSE KATZ AND PIANIST ALAN MALLACH
On Saturday November 2 at 8 PM, the Roosevelt Arts Project will present a recital of lieder and song cycles sung by mezzo-soprano Cheri Rose Katz with Alan Mallach at the piano. The concert will include Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder, Mahler’s Rückert Lieder, song cycles by Manuel de Falla and Gerald Finzi, and two songs written by pianist-composer Mallach. The performances will be enlivened by Mallach’s informed and insightful commentary.
