Join the Woodbridge Main Library October 25 at 7PM for presentation which educates families on the basic rights in education law, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the applicable state provisions. It covers what is meant by a free and appropriate public educational, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Evaluations, Re-evaluations, compensatory education, and implementing basic rights in education when schools are closed.

Tina M. James is an attorney and advocate. Her legal work focuses on estate planning and administration, guardianship and decision making, disability discrimination, and special needs planning for individuals with disabilities and their families.
She previously worked with a boutique law firm serving people with disabilities and their families, as a litigator with a national law firm, and served as a judicial law clerk in the New Jersey Appellate Division. She has successfully argued before the Florida Supreme Court as well as other state and federal courts. Tina was selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2015 and 2016.
Tina received her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law, and her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, Douglass College.
Personally, and professionally, Tina is committed to promoting all aspects of diversity and inclusion. She volunteers with a variety of non-profit organizations serving children and is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Florida Diversity Council.
