The national struggle for women’s suffrage was a New Jersey drama. American Experience’s two-part documentary “The Vote” explores the movement for women’s suffrage in the United States and details the battle between New Jersey’s Alice Paul and Woodrow Wilson that culminated in the adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment 100 years ago.

Watch along with the State Park Service’s historian at Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Sites for a New Jersey perspective on this national movement. Follow the commentary on Facebook.com/WallaceDutch and stream “The Vote” free online from NJTV.
