Got old bikes or sewing machines cluttering up your garage, basement or shed? Repurpose them through Pedals for Progress! In the developing world, bicycles serve as primary transportation to enable people to get to jobs, schools, markets, clinics and more. Sewing machines provide vital employment. Our church is again holding a drive to collect bikes and sewing machines for Pedals for Progress, a NJ-based charity. They collect, store and ship these items overseas to a series of countries to give them a new life. Due to the cost of shipment, a $20/$10 minimum donation is required for each item, but all donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided.
