Donna Soaries, the First Lady of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, New Jersey, will host the finale of a three-part virtual series called When Mothers Pray. This series will feature special guests, Dr. Lucille O’Neal, author and mother of NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, and Grammy Award-winning gospel artist, Karen Clark Sheard. When Mothers Pray Part three will take place on Sunday, November 22, 2020, from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM EST.
With over 700 guest participants for both parts one and two of When Mothers Pray, this event anticipates a surge of more than 1000 guests to join. Celebrating 10 years since the launch of the host organization, Mothers Determined to Pray, this series invites mothers from various backgrounds who share their stories to uplift other mothers and empower each other through testimony and prayer. Guests for parts one and two included, Rose Rock, author and mother of comedian, Chris Rock, Delores Winans, singer and Mother of the Gospel group, The Winans, C. Vivian Stringer, Hall of Fame head coach of the Rutgers University women’s basketball team, and Debra Morton, senior pastor of Greater St. Stephen FGBC, co-pastor of Changing a Generation FGBC, and author.
“I knew we had to celebrate ten years of Mothers Determined to Pray,” said Founder and First Lady Donna Soaries. “Interviewing different mothers with different testimonies of what prayer has done for them has touched so many mothers, fathers, and grandparents. We are encouraged to hang in there!!! I can’t wait until Part three.”
The finale of this series also occurs during the same period as the 30th anniversary of the Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. DeForest B. Soaries, Jr. and First Lady Donna Soaries’ arrival to First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. “Most of us are the products of praying mothers,” he said. “When Mothers Pray is a unique series celebrating dynamic women who share significant examples of the power of God and the power of prayer.”
