HILLSBOROUGH: College kids make the grades

Kevin Reilly of Hillsborough was named to the dean’s list in the University of Notre Dame’s College of Engineering for scholarship during the fall semester. Students who achieve dean’s honors represent the top 30 percent of students in their college.
Kevin is a 2013 graduate of Hillsborough High School and is a junior at Notre Dame, on track to graduate in 2017.

Hillsborough’s Taryn Grober, a freshman at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, made the school’s dean’s list for the fall semester. A student must achieve at least a 3.5 grade-point average. Taryn has also begun her first season on the school’s softball team.

Hillsborough’s Nicole Rossi, a management information systems major attending Rowan University in Glassboro, was recognized as a Presidential Scholar of Excellence with a 4.0 GPA in the fall semester. 

William M. Rodgers IV, of Belle Mead was named to the fall semester dean’s list with honors at McDaniel College in Westminster, Md.
Highest honors are earned for a semester grade-point average of 3.90 or higher. High honors are for a GPA of 3.70 to 3.89 and honors for a 3.50 to 3.69 average.

Two Hillsborough students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
They are Nicholas Klacik, a member of the Class of 2019 and a major in computer science, and Paul Nemergut, a member of the Class of 2017 majoring in economics.

Area students were named to the dean’s list at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., for the fall semester.
They are Gregory Tarca of Belle Mead and Hillsborough students Lauren Belskie, Gabriella Garcia, Janelle Herbert, Crystal Komoroski, Sarah Lazaro, Erinn Magrosky, Brianna Nork, Cassidy Pezza, Erica Reiss and Stephen Sharo.
To qualify, students must earn a grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than a C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits graded on a letter basis.

Lauren Gross of Hillsborough was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. A student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive recognition. Lauren is in the Class of 2019.

Two Hillsborough students, Louis C. Jannuzzi III and Timothy A. Rath, made the dean’s list for the fall semester at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa. To qualify, a student must have a minimum 3.25 GPA.

Samantha P. Wagner of Belle Mead has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at the University of Minnesota, located in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Samantha is a senior in the university’s Carlson School of Management.
To qualify, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade-point average.

Hillsborough resident Natalie Thompson, a member of the class of 2018 majoring in chemical engineering, was one of 1,238 undergraduate students on Worcester (Mass.) Polytechnic Institute’s fall dean’s list.
The criteria differ from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade-point average, but defines the dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
