Woodbridge police warn of car burglaries

WOODBRIDGE — Police are warning people to lock their car doors after a rash of motor vehicle burglaries and thefts occurred in the Woodbridge Proper section of the township last week.

A total of eight motor vehicles, which appeared to be left unlocked, were entered from approximately 6 p.m. on Aug. 24 and approximately 10 a.m. on Aug. 25, according to Police Capt. Roy Hoppock.

The vehicles were parked on Crescent Street, Craske Street, Mawbey Street, Dutchess Lane, Crampton Avenue and Barrons Gate Avenue.

Various items including loose change, purses, wallets, credit cards along with other identifying documents, sunglasses and a pair of binoculars, were reportedly taken from the vehicles, according to police.
