Editor’s Note: Laszlo Nyitrai Jr. is running for one of three, three-year terms on the South Brunswick Board of Education. Profiles of incumbents Azra Baig and Harry Delgado and newcomers Anilkumar Patel and Lisa Rodgers were included in the Oct. 13 issue of the North & South Brunswick Sentinel.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK — Laszlo Nyitrai Jr., 43, has been a South Brunswick resident for 18 years. He has two children enrolled in the district — his daughter is in fifth grade and his son is in first grade at Brooks Crossing School.

He is a 20-year veteran of the South Brunswick Police Department, currently holding the rank of lieutenant. He has also served as a South Brunswick Township Open Space Committee member since 2005.

“I think three important issues this campaign season are getting the selection of the next superintendent right this time, the looming graduation requirement requiring the passage of the PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) test for the Class of 2021 and controlling costs related to the district budget.”

Election Day is scheduled for Nov. 8.
