ISCJ to hold National Mosque Open House Day on Oct. 23

The Islamic Society of Central Jersey (ISCJ) invites all residents to National Mosque Open House Day from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the center, 4145 Route 1 at Promenade Boulevard, Monmouth Junction.

Discussions will include the past, present, future and architecture of masajids; creating an inclusive, welcoming, dynamic masjid; and recommendations for attracting young adults.

Speakers will include Imam Hamad Chebli; Chaplain Kaiser Aslam of Rutgers University; James Sues, executive director of CAIR-NJ (Council on American-Islamic Relations); Suzy Ismail, professor, author and founder/head communication counselor at Cornerstone; and Imam Mohammad Qatanani of the Islamic Center of Passaic.
