A swan-shaped pedal boat makes it’s way through Wesley Lake that sits in between Ocean Grove and Asbury Park on August 16.

The Long Branch Free Public Library will host author Charley Bruns who will present, “Harbour Mansion: High-Rise History of the Shore’s First Luxury Condominium,” at 7 p.m. March 29 at 328 Broadway.

Bruns and the Long Branch Historical Association will share the entertaining history of Harbour Mansion, which was built in 1968 and was the Jersey Shore’s first luxury oceanfront high-rise condominium. Learn about tales of Gilded Age bankers, mid-century Mafia legends and more.

Bruns is a Long Branch resident and web author of the blog Harbour Mansion Web History. He bought a condominium unit in Harbour Mansion in 2008 and began living there year-round in 2012 with his wife. He researched and wrote the blog series about the condominium after hearing all kinds of interesting stories about the building.

This free program is being presented by the Long Branch Historical Association and the Long Branch Free Public Library and is open to the public. All are welcome. Light refreshments will be served. The Long Branch Historical Association will conduct a brief business meeting before the program begins.
